All my grandparents that immigrated to America. Both sets of grandparents, knowing little to no English when they first arrived, ran their own family-run grocery stores in a couple of small towns in Arkansas in hopes of creating better lives for themselves and their children.

Sabriel by Garth Nix – One of my favorite books growing up. It’s the first book in Nix’s Old Kingdom series.

I have one dog named Sophie. Her fur is all black, but she’s starting to grey some. She is 5-years-old, 25lb, and looks like a large, long-legged chihuahua. Her DNA test showed that she is part Shih Tzu, miniature poodle, Chihuahua, Boston terrier, and a bunch of other breeds the lab couldn’t determine.
