What I Do
The most important aspect of my job is making sure that the data on the site is timely and accurate.
What I Love About My Job
I love that I get to use math and problem-solving skills on a daily basis.
Education
I joined LifeTrends after graduating from UT Austin with a degree in math. Prior to that, I studied criminal justice and sociology at Texas State University and spent a few years enlisted in the US Army as a translator.
Standing Torchy's Order
Migas on flour with avocado sauce. And coffee.
Personal Theme Song
Foo Fighters – My Hero
What's for Lunch?
I bring my lunch 99% of the time, but when I do go out, my favorite place is
Tacodeli. Their Do├▒a salsa is life-changing.
My Super Power
Making things awkward.
Brain Food
My favorite book is “Cutting for Stone” by Abraham Verghese.
Favorite Online Resource
drafthouse.com – I live for movies.
Helping Out
My son and I volunteer monthly with an organization called Generation SERVE, which connects Austin-area kids with age appropriate volunteer opportunities. We have picked up trash around Lady Bird Lake, repackaged diaper donations for the Austin Diaper Bank, made cards for hospitalized children and homeless adults, read books to shelter dogs and cats, and helped train guide dogs.
Motivation
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” –
Mahatma Gandhi
My Furry Family
I have a rescue cat named Autumn whose hobbies include meowing incessantly at 3am, taunting the dog, and getting underfoot at all the wrong times. I also have a rescue dog named Rex who is the biggest sweetheart, is obsessed with Autumn, and suffers the poking and prodding from my kids with the patience of a saint.
